Bruce’s Book Club! The Casual Vacancy by J.K Rowling

DSC04075Hello again! Well my blog my rules! I have decided to give you my take on the book I just finished and announce the next book, now instead of waiting until Tuesday!
Hey life is short why waste a whole week!??

OK so 19 minutes by Jodi Picoult. What did I think? Do I recommend this book? I gotta tell ya, you know it. As soon as I began reading this novel I was hooked. How could one not be entranced from it’s opening page, a hand written note of distress.
The characters were compelling, devastating and yet hopeful.
I saw myself in the agony that is childhood bullying.
19 minutes ended up being one of my favourite books so far that I have chosen in my book club!
I have to thank the reader who recommended it to me because it was like you could read what was inside of me.
Thank you.

5 kisses out of 5

An author that needs no introduction. Has become one of the most successful authors of any age. She defies reason and turns it into magic!
Her “Harry Potter” series took the world by storm and changed the face of children’s literature for generations to come.
She is simply “J.K Rowling”
I hope you will join me for the next chapter of her outstanding written word, “The Casual Vacancy” A NOVEL ABOUT A SMALL TOWN…. WHEN BARRY FAIRBROTHER DIES in his early forties, the town of Pagford is left in shock.
Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an acient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty facade is a town at war.

J.K Rowling her first novel for adults.

I do hope you will enjoy my book club choice for April and May!!!

Always,

About Bruce in the City

I have been writing my blog since 2010. I was inspired to do so after enjoying an amazing meal with some friends of mine here in Toronto. I decided to tell everyone about my great night and the fabulous restaurant I went to and shazam my blog was born!
