Considering the length of Winter I feel it only fitting to give Spring the biggest shout out as possible! It’s hard to believe she’s here! It feels like a thousand years since the first snow way back in November. I am normally a fan of all the seasons but I’m sure you will agree with me that this year was just too much.
In honour of Spring I thought I would share a few festivals that happen in my fare city and beyond it’s borders to help you bust out of your Winter hibernation.
It would not be Spring in Toronto without the Annual Canada Blooms. Here is their website. John and I go every year. If you love flowers and the smell of green, and no I don’t mean money! Then head on over to the Direct Energy Building and explore what nature has to offer! www.canadablooms.com This year the theme is “Wild” Well, I like the sound of that!
Here is something fun to do in my home town of Oshawa The Spring Art Festival. I don’t know much about it but here is a link for you to check it out. Maybe John and I will check it out this year. I love to head back to the old stomping ground and see if I can run into some old friends. It’s happening at Camp Samac. One of my favourite places to visit! here is the Clarington tourist site click April for this info regarding the Art Show www.clarington-tourism.ca
Whitby has some fun stuff happening to!!! Check it out! March 29th Earth Hour 8pm @ 301 Watson Street “Earth Hour Star Gazing Party” Sounds like a fun idea! www.whitby.ca
What’s Hamilton up to this Spring!!!?? Now this sounds fun “9th Annual Food and Drink Fest” Running March 21,22,23!!! I love to eat and I love to drink!!!! I won’t be able to go but if you find yourself looking for something to do this sounds like a good time! www.foodanddrinkfest.com
So there you have it just a few things to get your Spring off to a celebratory start!!!! Thank the gods she’s here!! I don’t think I could stand one more day of Winter. Let’s just hope the weather cooperates!!
