DJ BOY!

Hey everyone!  Another Sunday is here and once again I have a little buzzy buzz for you.  The one thing I love about my blog is getting the chance to tell you about the people and places that inspire me in some way.
The last few weeks I have been introducing you to some wonderful local talents, however today is not one of those days.  Let’s talk about me!  Did you guys know I do a little DJ ing on the side?  Well I do and I had the opportunity this week to DJ at an eighties retro party.  I think my favourite music era of all time!  (Although the 60’s comes very close.)
The best part about it is you can really put your creative head on and dress yourself up in the best retro styles possible.  It’s been a while since I shaved off the beard and sported my inner drag but what better reason could I be given???small version
With razor in hand I said good bye to my manly face scruff and slapped my face with my best version of the Boy himself.  The one and only Boy George.  I have a few characters I love dressing up like; “The Dirty Nun”, “Boy George”, “Cruella Devil” just to name a few and I’m more than happy to DJ your event in such outfits!!  It’s a hoot.
I wasn’t the only celebrity look alike present.  There was a live performance by “Tina Turner”. 10408845_10155597205480521_8580575678256109644_nI plan on sharing more about that discovery a couple of weeks from now; just in time for my Pride blog only a few short weeks away!  What a wonderful event celebrating a 50th Birthday!  I was thrilled to have been a part of it!
If you are in need of a DJ let me know.  I’d be happy to spin at your party!

About Bruce in the City

I have been writing my blog since 2010. I was inspired to do so after enjoying an amazing meal with some friends of mine here in Toronto. I decided to tell everyone about my great night and the fabulous restaurant I went to and shazam my blog was born!
