Vancouver Riots, Really?

I don’t know…. now we riot after hockey games?  I thought as children we were taught not to be sore losers. To be proud of the effort and when we grow up be that example to our children. I guess I’m lucky in the sense that I don’t have children so I guess in theory I can act any way I want to but we all know that isn’t the case.

Believe it or not I actually watched the game Wednesday night and it was an ok way to waste a couple of hours.  I have never been a real sport fan but I can appreciate it’s worth and think it’s a great excuse to get a group of people together to celebrate without a political agenda.

Hmm political agenda… I’m sorry I think I missed something. Isn’t that what sports are all about.  I think after what I saw on the tube after the game I would have rather attended the fetish fair.  It’s always getting a bad review from non attendees and I don’t recall any riots breaking out because someones leather straps were to tight.

I’m not sure this sport thing is living up to it’s job, to bring people together for the sake of the sport.  What happened to our manners?  We really threw that out the window last night when some of the fans, onlooking and visitors decided to torch the town sorta speak.  The G20 here in Toronto, the riots, I didn’t like it but on some level I could understand the tension. To me riots are never the way to go but for a hockey game now we’re really talking inbreeding here.

I watched the guys running around like animals  Setting fires, breaking windows, harassing the police, hurting people and am I to assume they will be heading back into the office to resume a normal work day when the sun comes up the next morning.  Can someone say Neanderthals!

I can’t imagine where their heads are at.  It’s a total embarrassment for Canada! I guess I am still under the illusion we as a country have more class than that!

But Vancouver riots, Really?

What a bunch of sore losers!

Let’s take away their toys and ground them for a few seasons until they learn to play well with others.  That’s what we do to disobedient children isn’t it?

Get a life guys! Get a life!

About Bruce in the City

I have been writing my blog since 2010. I was inspired to do so after enjoying an amazing meal with some friends of mine here in Toronto. I decided to tell everyone about my great night and the fabulous restaurant I went to and shazam my blog was born!
