Announcements, Check it Out!

Hello Brucesters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is super fabulous to be back!  Pausing for applause……………….. Have you had the best summer ever?  I certainly hope so.  It’s been such an outstanding and melting summer hasn’t it?  The cooking of eggs on the floor of the concrete jungle.  The hottest summer.  No the hottest planet!  Apparently the hottest summer in the history of the world.  Can you imagine?  Thank the gods for aircon.  I just don’t know how people handle the heat without aircon.  Many people don’t have it.  My heart goes out to them!

What a summer I’ve had and over the next few weeks I am going to share my adventure with you all.  I want to get you all caught up and maybe, just maybe, it will help the lingering of those amazing summer days.  Oh, and yes I realize I am using the word summer like a million times but it’s just my way of coping with the fact that it’s quickly becoming a distance memory.

This is how it’s going to work.  Starting on Wednesday, over the next few weeks I am going to be sharing my summer tales but also continuing my regular Sunday blog to keep my Toronto travels current for you.  When I feel I have you all caught up the Wednesday blogs will end.  I’ll keep you posted!

Ah, so summer in the city.  It’s such a great city for summer fun.  Patio’s, Hanlan’s Point, BBQ’s, Woody’s, Don Valley biking, new friends and great wine!  And yes I did finish my Bruce’s Book Club book Life of Pi by Yann Martel…. from back in March.  I had put it down and took the last bit of summer to finish it up.  What a great read and although I won’t be continuing my book club here on my blog, I’d be happy to keep you up to the minute on the different books I am reading.  I do have a good one I’m about to begin.  The Story of Charlotte’s Web: E.B White’s Eccentric Life in Nature and the Birth of an American Classic by Michael Sims.  It came out in 2011 and I think it’s going to be a fascinating read.

I hope you like “Bruce”, my new character sketch inspired by my sweet friend “Sherinne” who created the first Bruce artwork on the table of a restaurant after many outstanding cocktails.  He has had a slight makeover since his creation and has slimmed down for his debut on my blog today!  Enjoy!

I can’t wait to get you all up to speed and so Bruce in the City the blog “What’s the Buzz” is now back in the city!

See you Wednesday for my first Summer recap “The Russian Woody”.
