Unleash Your Pride!

Check it Out!

With Pride just around the corner, I think it only fitting to talk about a topic top of mind; Meat!  It’s so easy to go to that cheep place where gay stereotypes rule the school, but the truth is there will be a lot of meat to be had during Pride!

Why you ask? Simply because of the fabulous ribs that are found right out on Church Street every year during Pride. And, while all the boys are prancing their Spring/Summer bods for the festival, they cannot deny those fresh ribs right off the grill. I see them drinking low fat blended fruit/veg drinks on one block and then stuffing their facing with ribs on the next! Oh ya, and I am one of them! I have no idea what the name of the grill, is but you can’t miss it. It is normally across from TD Bank.

Before you can indulge in the meat, you should really take in an important part of Pride week; the raising of the Pride Flag at City Hall!  I have attended and it is a really cool event. It includes a free BBQ, so hey, why not? By the time this blog is posted ,you will have missed the flag raising ceremony. It happened Friday June 20th at 7pm.

One of the other great features of Pride is the live music. This year, Pride will be host to Melissa Etheridge, Tegan & Sarah, and Carly Rae Jepson!! Not a bad line up, I’ll be there! I’ll be tweeting and Instagramming as much as I can without being ostentatious.

Have an amazing World Pride everyone!

Ps: I have been really enjoying Lea Michelle’s book, Brunette Ambition! If you have not picked it up, you really should get out and do so!

My next book will be announced July 1st. I still have not decided what I’m going to pick up next, so if you have any ideas, feel free to let me know!
