Workout Wednesday

My workouts continue and I think I’m finally starting to see results. I’ve decided to show you a few machines I use at my gym, Goodlife. They’ve been working for me and they’re easy to use. These are not in any particular order. I like to change it up so my muscles don’t get too used to the program.

Leg Press

This is an amazing excercise. If you don’t feel like doing cardio, this exercise really gets the heart going and I think it’s a great warm up exercise. It’s kind of a sexy fun exercise too. Try it.

The next machine I love is the tricep press. It’s a great workout. The tricep is actually the biggest muscle in the arm so don’t forget about it. You can build up that bicep but without the tricep you’ve still got smaller looking arms.

Pushing that machine feels incredible on the arms.

Speaking of arms, the bicep is always a favourite muscle to workout. Men just love their biceps. Men kiss their own biceps. Yes, it’s a thing. I may have kissed mine once or twice. This bicep curl machine is great for beginners because free weights can be a little tricky to manage when you’re first starting out.

There you go! My little workout blog for this week. Keep going and I promise you, you will begin to feel great and your body will begin to strengthen.

I’ve got a long way to go, but it’s a journey not a destination!

My weight loss journey is ongoing as well. From January 2 when I got really serious about it I have lost 10.5 lbs and 16 lbs overall. For me that 11.5% of my overall body weight!!! I’ve moved from a size 12 down to a comfortable 8 (and even bought a size 6 for one pair of pants)! Would like to lose 6 more lbs but I’m happy with the fact that at 43 years years old and after having 2 kids that I’m officially lighter now than I was on my wedding day, pre kids and 29 years old!!! Keep at it! 🙂
